Neurodiagnostics & IONM. That’s Me!

I have been an active member of the Neurodiagnostics community for more than twenty-five years.  Throughout my career, I have been fortunate to gain significant knowledge and experience in clinical electroencephalography (EEG), clinical evoked potentials (EP), and intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM).  My primary training is in IONM and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and skills with others.

I have been working as an END educator for over twenty years, and have significant experience training IONM technologists and coaching them through their board examinations. I have experience in all facets of IONM, but my interest lies in IONM related to procedures performed in the interventional radiology suite, cortical mapping, and motor cranial nerve monitoring.

I have served on many boards within the neurodiagnostics community and am currently serving as the president of the Southern Society of Neurodiagnostic Technologists (SSET) and a member of the ASNM Board of Directors. In the past I have served as a board member for ASNM, editor of ASNM’s publication “The Monitor”, chair of ASNM’s Applied Philanthropy Committee, a member of ASNM’s Online Education Committee, and speaker for ASET, ASNM, MSET, CSET, ISET, and international organizations such as Neuromonitoring UK.

In addition to my passion for education, I believe that it is extremely important to volunteer both in and out of the field of neurodiagnositcs. I have been fortunate to travel to Ghana, Barbados, and Malawi to volunteer as a neuromonitorist and educator. I am especially proud of the two nurses that I have mentored in Ghana to function independently as CNIM credentialed neuromonitorists for the Foundation of Orthopedics and Complex Spine (FOCOS) in Accra, Ghana.

Currently, I serve as Director of Education for Neuromonitoring Associates. My past roles include COO for Advanced Monitoring Services, the VP of Neuromonitoring Services for Comprehensive Neuro Monitoring, National Technologist Director for Assure, Southeast Director of Field Operations for Neuromonitoring Associates, co-owner of LHI Online, and Clinical Product Designer & Regional Director at Biotronic NeuroNetwork. When I am not working, I enjoy traveling with my beautiful wife Lisa, gardening, reading, and running.

“WE MAKE A LIVING BY WHAT WE GET, WE MAKE A LIFE BY WHAT WE GIVE.” - WINSTON CHURCHILL

I BELIEVE THIS SAYING TO BE TRUE WHICH IS WHY I HOPE THIS WEBSITE GIVES YOU USEFUL INSIGHTS AND HELPS YOU TO GIVE A BETTER LIFE THROUGH NEURODIAGNOSTICS. YES, I DID SAY “GIVE” A BETTER LIFE.  OUR LIVES ARE ONLY AS RICH AS WHAT WE ARE PREPARED TO GIVE AND AS POOR AS THE THINGS WE TRY TO GET.  MAKE YOUR LIFE AS RICH AS POSSIBLE; GIVE AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
